While this album has many higher tempo sections, it nonetheless presents imposing funeral doom. Organ, and choirs aid in delivering all the dread of the impending apocalypse, as displayed in the opening track Crossing the Burned Wasteland, which sets the listener up with a burning crescendo; only setting us up for our inevitable downfall.
Favorite track: Unto the Ages of Ages.

I pre-ordered this in CD in a bundle when only track 5 was available to listen to and well OMG I wasn't let down in the slightest with the full release. Emotive, atmospheric and crushing - a pleasure for me to listen to from start to finish. I might have found a contender for my Album of the Year here

The long-awaited new full-length album from the Tunisian Apocalyptic Funeral Doom Metal entity “Omination” is upon us!
An absolute mammoth of a record, “NGR” (The New Golgotha Repvbliq) contains over an hour of some of the most encapsulating and ominous funeral doom metal to come out in quite some time. Combining abrasive and dissonant riffs with a shroud of atmospheric and monumental church organ and choirs, the instrumental aspect of this record is already massive, which is only enhanced by Fedor’s forceful growls, belted with conviction and strength.
The music and overall atmosphere of Omination is derived from the last cathedral, preached by the prophesying wanderer. Originally started as a solo project from Fedor Kovalevsky (Vielikan, Severe Agony), Omination enters 2021 as a full band set to prophesize our downfall.
“NGR” will be released on a 6 panel digipack on Friday February 5, 2021.
