spawnofchaos This was odd, but not in a bad way. While during some parts it was hard to get into the groove, others inexplicably just... worked. Truly experimental and unique, just a rather acquired taste. Favorite track: All that we lost.

Metallurgical Fire I don’t know what to do with this artist, or this album, but there is an array of talent on display here. This guy has elements of synthwave, black metal, and ambient sensibilities all weaving together, and on a track like Hills of Ashes it feels ahead of its time when everything gels. I don’t have the same enthusiasm for the whole album, but maybe I just haven’t caught up to this artist quite yet. Favorite track: Hills of Ashes.

Andy I just love this genre bending eclectic music. Am I listening to ABM or is this something else or is it all things at the same time ? Refreshing ! Favorite track: Eternal Wounds.

Jarak Definitely my favourite Ekove Efrits album. Really strikes a good balance of metal with its own brand of atmosphere. Favorite track: A Celebration for Sorrow.

Ekove Efrits' first album release on Hypnotic Dirge Records entitled Conceptual Horizon is a musically varied, sonically pleasing album rooted within the Black metal genre but capable of bringing together various influences to encompass a truly unique and accomplished album. Conceptual Horizon is an album that is able to bridge many different emotions together into one relevant and stable concept. Hate, Aggression, Love, Depression, and Melancholy all find a place in an album which is filled with captivating and hypnotic melodies that show the diversity of the songwriter. Altogether, this is an album that refuses to confine itself to any specific genre, but delivers where it counts the most - in creating powerful riffs and melodies with a variety of different instruments all encompassing a superb aura of true emotion and feeling. Certainly not a project to ignore, Ekove Efrits' Conceptual Horizon album may well be the most accomplished and complete melancholic black metal ever recorded in Iran!
Album comes with a 16 page booklet (HDR's largest to date) with all of the lyrics printed inside.
